Gor Mahia head coach Dylan Kerr has sent out a word of apology to fans and the club’s stakeholders for his actions after today’s match in Kisumu.

Kerr was seen standing on top of the team bus with a fan’s flag after the win over SoNy and the act was viewed differently by different people and the coach has since regretted what he did.

“l apologise for standing on top of our bus after the game… but it was stationary and I didn’t mean to cause any offence or wished anyone to do as I did,” Kerr told Gor Mahia website.

The Briton said he just wanted to applaud fans never meant to encourage such.

“I wanted, as I always do, to applaud our fans and not to upset anyone or encourage anyone to copy the same as we have lost so many fans through something close to that. But I was very careful not to stand when the bus moved and safely sat down knowing that I wasn’t in any danger but still, I apologise for what l did,” he added.

Kerr went ahead to thank the fans for turning up in their droves to show support to the team.

“I must thank K’Ogalo fans, they have never let us down in any game, be it weekend or weekday, whether it rains or not. They have been instrumental to our good performance. On behalf of the technical staff and players, we say thank you.”

Gor will camp in Nakuru as preparation for SportPesa super cup tournament begins.
