The high profile friendly match saw the two sides settle for a barren draw in regular time sending the play to post match spot kicks.
It was the first time Kasarani was opened to the public after many months of renovation and the home fans did not disappoint as the 60,000 seater stadium got filled to its capacity.
The atmosphere was charged and every ball touch by Gor Mahia players went with a loud cheer from the crowd.
lt was a match of chances with Gor Mahia clearly dominating the duel though missing to utilize chances created to kill off the game.
The friendly tie will be considered as a perfect preparation match for Gor Mahia ahead of Wednesday’s Caf Confederation Cup match against USM Alger at the same venue as from 7pm.
