[dropcap]D[/dropcap]efender Wellington Ochieng’ has been undergoing treatment since he suffered a minor fracture on his ankle during a league match against Bandari in Machakos.
He is recovering well and soon, he will start his therapies under very strict supervision of his doctor.
“I am recovering well and my doctor is happy with the progress so far. I have one pending medical check up before I can start my therapies under the supervision of my doctor,” said the right back defender.
Ochieng’, who was in an animated mood went ahead to say: “My doctor gave me very good timing for my recovery and I am optimistic that I will have successful therapy sessions and be given green light to resume normal training with the team.”
Asked about what he feels about the teams performance and eventual qualification to Caf Confederation Cup group stage, Ochieng said: “I saw it coming and I was sure we were eliminating Supersport United after watching the first leg in Machakos. We are in the group stage because we deserve it and the aim is to make it big.”
The hardworking defender was so instrumental in a number of matches before the injury and his return will be a big boost to the team.
